Summer Fayre ... thank you everyone for a lovely day

                                 

Well, after all the worry in the week about the weather, on the day it was not a problem. A lot of work went into the preparation, organisation and running of the Fayre, and a very enjoyable day for all was the result. It also raised an impressive £4930, so thank you to everyone involved.

Plastecine Pictures? They can't be!

   

 

In July 2010 a group of 15 ‘creative’ children from Key Stage 2 went to Henry Cort to work in the Art department to re-create some impressionist masterpieces out of plastecine. The results were staggering!

Score for Simunye ... a winner!

You may remember that the school put forward two poem entries into a World Cup Competition organised by the British Council called ‘Score for Simunye’. Simunye is a Zulu word meaning ‘togetherness’ and the entries had to reflect how football can unite people. Well, the poem by Jack was the winner!

  Jack won a couple of cool prizes. An IPod Nano for himself, and a Flip Ultra video camera for the school (and the red T Shirt). Congratulations Jack!
