Teach Your monster to Read is a phonic based game which practices the sounds as we would teach them in school.

Bug Club Phonics – all children in YR/1 have already been sent their log in to access colour banded phonic books which also include comprehension questions embedded in the text (click on the ‘bug’ icons when you see them!).

Letters and Sounds:

From 27th April, the DfE are uploading daily phonics lessons for YR and Y1 children on YouTube which follow the Letters and Sounds programme which we use in school. There are separate lessons for YR and Y1, plus a lesson for those who need more practice at blending. These would also be useful for children in Y2 who are not confident with phonics. There is also a useful intro for parents.
