Dear Parents/Carers,

We thank you all for your support of the school during this difficult time. We hope that you are managing to stay positive with your children at home, and hope that the home learning provided by the staff is helping you to establish a new routine.

If your child is worried about the coronavirus, you may find the attached book from the NHS useful to help explain things and reassure. It’s most suitable for children up to Y3.

Welcome message from Lesley Pennington – Headteacher

Thank you for your interest in Whiteley Primary School. This website is intended to give you information about the education provided by the school, as well as keeping current parents and pupils up to date with latest news, diary dates and events. We hope you will find it useful, and that it will give you a flavour of our school.

Pupils at Whiteley Primary School are encouraged to do their very best and we are immensely proud of the achievements of both past and present pupils. As you will see from our information pages, we have high standards in the core subjects of English, maths and science, whilst offering a broad and balanced curriculum. There are many opportunities to learn new skills and develop hobbies and interests which pupils can continue to pursue as they grow older. Our talented team of staff work hard to provide an exciting curriculum for pupils, and have supported us in achieving a number of National awards, specifically in the Arts and PE.

I hope that you will be excited by what Whiteley Primary School has to offer. I hope, too, that you will share our vision for the school over the years to come.

Any parent thinking of sending their child to our school is very welcome to arrange a visit to look more closely at our facilities and see the enthusiasm of our children at work.

Kind regards
Lesley Pennington – Head teacher
