Do you have experience of supporting children in Early/KS1 within a school? Are you looking for a part-time role as part of a large and friendly team?
We are looking to appoint an experienced learning support assistant for 12hrs from Sept 2026 – August 2027 within one of our Y1 classes (additional hours may be available on other days). This is a fixed term position, but could lead to other roles within the classroom support team from Sept 2027 for an appropriately skilled and flexible candidate.
The successful candidate(s) will
have a good understanding of child development and how children learn in the early years;
have experience working in a school with younger children;
be able to show initiative but work closely with the class teacher to provide a positive learning environment;
have experience of supporting children with a range of additional needs;
be able to promote positive learning behaviours;
be able to foster enthusiasm for learning in the indoor and outdoor environments and enjoy working as a play partner during child-initiated learning;
be enthusiastic, reliable and willing to work as part of a large staff team in our 3-form entry school.
Have achieved GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in maths and English (essential)

We are seeking to appoint one or two learning support assistants in order to build capacity within our large and friendly KS2 team from Sept 2026. The role will involve working as a key adult to support children with Education Health Care Plans. Applications are particularly welcome from those with prior experience of supporting children with SEND in a school environment, but we may also consider candidates with other relevant experience and/or skills who are willing to learn.
Ideally, we are seeking one person to work up to 5 mornings including a lunch duty (8.45 – 12.30/1pm) and another to work up to 5 afternoons with a lunch duty (12/12.30 – 3.15pm), but we do have some flexibility regarding days, and the positions could be combined (up to 30hrs). Please see the job details for more information or call to ask for an informal chat with the headteacher or inclusion manager.

• Have experience of supporting children, ideally within an education setting;
• Have an understanding of the challenges that may be faced by children with SEND in the classroom and strategies that can support;
• Be cheerful, flexible and approachable;
• Have energy and enthusiasm, and be able to show initiative within the role;
• Be a team player, able to work closely with teachers and other adults within the classroom to ensure the best for our pupils;
• Be patient and have good communication skills.
We can offer a strong and supportive staff team and appropriate training for the role.

We are seeking to appoint an ELSA to join our friendly team from September 2026. This is a permanent position.
The successful candidate will work with the other members of our pastoral support team, to support individuals and small groups who require programmes of support for social, emotional or mental health difficulties. They will liaise closely with other classroom staff to ensure that strategies and programmes are followed up within the classroom environment, and the impact is measured.
We particularly welcome applications from qualified ELSAs, but also those with significant experience supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs in primary schools who are willing to undertake the training.
This is a term-time only contract (INSET days included). There is some flexibility regarding the hours for this role, which could be worked across 3 - 5 days, incorporating the afternoons. The position is for up to 15hrs per week with the potential for additional hours or a dual role according to the school’s needs/candidate experience (up to a max of 30hrs per week - please see job details for more information).
The successful candidate will
• have a range of experience within primary schools, including KS2;
• have knowledge and experience of delivering interventions with pupils to support their social, emotional and mental health needs;
• have a good understanding of child development and learning;
• be a good team player;
• demonstrate effective communication skills, with adults and children;
• be able to promote positive behaviour;
• be flexible, enthusiastic, reliable and hard-working;
• enjoy working with children, and be able to support the school in the safeguarding of pupils.
