Cleaner Vacancy – closing date 7th August 2020

Due to the extra cleaning constraints we have in place during Covid we have a temporary vacancy for a cleaner to join our friendly team for 2 hours a day between 3.15 – 6.15pm.  Hours are negotiable during the school holidays.

We are looking for people who are approachable and friendly and work well in a team.

Rate of pay is £9 an hour. Please contact the school admin officer, Elaine Binks, for more information and an application form.  Ideally we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

Midday Supervisor Vacancy – closing date 7th August 2020

We are looking for a lunchtime supervisor to work with our existing team to support pupils in the enjoyment of their lunchtime.  This vacancy is for 3 days, Wednesday/Thursday and Friday starting in September (start date negotiable).

The successful candidate will:

  • Have an understanding and awareness of child behaviour.
  • Have high expectations of children’s behaviour.
  • Be proactive and promote ‘positive play’.
  • Actively engage with children to ensure playtimes are enjoyable.
  • Be able to work well with others, under guidance, and show own initiative.
  • Be a good communicator, great team player and have a good sense of humour.
  • Have an understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.

Duties will include:

  • Assisting pupils with food consumption – i.e. opening cartons, cutting food for the children.
  • Encouraging healthy eating.
  • Ensuring ill or injured children receive appropriate medical attention.
  • Promotion of ‘positive play’.
  • Supervision of pupils to ensure their safety.
  • Building positive relationships with the children.
