We are looking to recruit a hard-working and flexible Administrative Assistant with excellent communication skills and a friendly and approachable manner to join our office team.

Duties are likely to include the following:

  • Customer service – first point of contact for parent/pupil/visitor enquiries at the desk and on the phone
  • General office duties such as photo-copying, filing, general word processing, and supporting the full-time members of the team in their roles.
  • Updating the school website (training provided).
  • Administration support for teaching staff such as arranging appointments, making trip arrangements etc.
  • Welfare support for pupils, including the provision of first aid and administration of medicines (subject to training).
  • Over time, we would also train the successful candidate in the use of the school office data systems such as SIMs. Parentmail and Tucasi, and in the basic financial procedures to handle cash and record financial transactions.

 This is a permanent contract for 12 hours per week. The successful candidate must be able to work on Fridays 8.30am – 1.30pm but there is flexibility regarding how the additional 7 hrs are worked (for example, 2 mornings 9-12.30 or 2 mornings 9-12 plus additional time on a Friday afternoon).

The position is for term-time only (39wks).
